However the sheets and bed were clean and comfortable, there was free wifi, air conditioner worked great, nice flat screen TV, and the proximity to the fair grounds the music festival I was attending made this place a steal! Compared to the prices of all the other places nearby, you just couldn't beat it.
So as a whole, I would not take a family for a vacation here, and I would not take a significant other on a romantic getaway here either. However, if you're partying near the Marshfield fairgrounds and just need a cheap and clean bed close enough to not need a taxi to get home, this place is perfect. Staying at the Marshfield Inn certainly made my experience at Levitate Music Festival MUCH more convenient and affordable. If Levitate is held at those fairgrounds again next year, I will certainly be booking here again.
The worst. Infestested with bedbugs and owners don't clean rooms, and they don't speak English. I paid for 3 nights in advance and realized after the infestation of bedbugs and asked the guy at the desk for my money back due to the bedbugs and he yelled NO I give you another room, in which I told him I didn't want it and if I could show him the mattress with all the bugs and he said NO we check mattresses no no no I give u another room. No money back so either take the other room or leave or I call the cops.... Awful never ever goes their definition of filth
I stayed here for two nights this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised.
-I thoroughly looked through the bed sheets and everywhere else I could think of for needles or anything like that. I also made sure to watch where I was walking for any as well and I did not see anything of the sort.
They will run your card more than 1 time and charge you double
P.S. -If you've read the other reviews here are my responses:
-I also think the "drug addicts" people may be referring to are just festival goers who have been partying all day/weekend and look wore out. I did not meet many people at the inn, but I didn't see one person who was obviously an addict.
They do not accomadate with coffe or breakfast of any kind. They charged our debit card twice. Early one morning I was sleep an the owner knocked on my door I didnt even have time to sit up an he was in my room.. I dont even think there aloud to do that... You can smoke in the rooms so if your a smoker thats a plus.. but it is semi cheap for around here $430 a week its a crack shack though... and no elvators at all its a 3 story building maybe you will luck up an get a ground level roo unfortuniatly i wasnt that lucky...good luck
-Finally, in 2 nights, my butthole stayed untouched so that's a definite plus.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night in late August. The room was clean and the staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The location was exceptional as the Marshfield fair was only a short walk away. This place is a great value for the money.
Sure, there were some quirks. Nobody will come in and change your sheets/give you new towels during a 2 day stay. There was a small hole in the wall above my headboard. The worst part was trying to get this booked in advance with the a lack of any sort of technology both online and to running the business. After several calls I finally said I would give him my credit card over the phone to reserve my spot and all was well from there. There are also several tenants who live there semi permanently staying there for several months which was odd, but the ones I met seemed very friendly and nonthreatening.
If I'm being honest, the hotel deserves a 3 star, but if you've read the other reviews and are expecting what I was, it might as well have been a 5 star.
